Auditions are now open!

We are excited to announce auditions for West Coast Classical and are thrilled to welcome individuals of all skill levels to our vibrant West Coast Classical community! Whether you are a seasoned professional or a passionate newcomer, there is a place for everyone in this dynamic family.

 

All members, new and returning are encouraged to participate in these auditions which are designed to match your skills to the best-fitting class for an optimal experience!

 

Returning members: If you are indifferent about chair seating, do not mind where you sit, or do not wish to advance into a higher level, you may opt out of the audition process. Please email info@westcoastclassical.org to begin the registration process.

 

Video Audition Instructions
 

1. Include in your video all criteria listed below under your chosen program.


2. Record yourself using separate videos for each of the required criteria. (Ex. Concert Orchestra Strings….1. One Scale video 2. One Solo video). Videos must be unedited.


3. Send all required videos in one email. If your videos are too large to send in a regular email, upload them to One Drive or Google Drive and then send.

4. Email your audition video to westcoastclassicalauditions@gmail.com


​5. In the "Subject" line of the email, please write your name and what group or groups you are auditioning for. (Ex. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart....Symphonic Orchestra).

Beginning Strings Class

This class is designed for members who have never played a string instrument before, therefore no audition is required. Please email info@westcoastlclassical.org for instructions on registering for this program.

*The sight reading segment of the audition will take place on Monday, September 15 in person at the Palmdale Playhouse. Only those auditioning for Level 2 placement are required to sight read as a part of their audition. An audition time slot will be given in response to the initial video submission (between 7:00-8:30pm).
