ACCEPTING LATE AUDITIONS FOR SPRING 2024!
Video Audition Instructions
1. Include in your video all criteria listed below under your chosen program.
2. Record yourself using separate videos for each of the required criteria. (Ex. Concert Orchestra Strings….1. One Scale video 2. One Solo video). Videos must be unedited.
3. Send all required videos in one email. If your videos are too large to send in a regular email, upload them to One Drive or Google Drive and then send.
4. Email your audition video to westcoastclassicalauditions@gmail.com
5. In the "Subject" line of the email, please write your name and what group or groups you are auditioning for. (Ex. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart....Symphonic Orchestra).

Program Requirements
Beginning Strings Class
This class is designed for members who have never played a string instrument before, therefor no audition is required. Please email amy.fischer@westcoastlclassical.org for instructions on registering for this program.
Adagio Beginning String Orchestra Level 1
1. 1-2 octave F Major Scale played at tempo 90 in quarter notes.
2. 2-3 minute prepared solo of your choice
3. Excerpt #1 AND #2
Prelude Beginning String Orchestra Level 2
1. 1-2 octave F Major Scale played at tempo 90 in quarter notes
2. 2-3 minute prepared solo of your choice
3. Excerpt #1 AND #2
Encore Intermediate String Orchestra
1. 2-3 octave F Major Scale played at tempo 90 in quarter notes
2. 2–3 minute prepared solo of your choice
Wind Ensemble
1. 2-3 octave F Major Scale played at tempo 90 in quarter notes
2. 2–3 minute prepared solo of your choice
Concert Orchestra Strings
1. 2-3 octave Bb Major Scale played at tempo 100 in eighth notes
2. 2-3 octave G Melodic Minor Scale played at tempo 100 in eighth notes
3. 2–3 minute prepared solo of your choice
4. Concert Orchestra Excerpts
Concert Orchestra Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion
1. 2-3 octave Bb Major Scale played at tempo 100 in eighth notes
2. 2-3 octave G Melodic Minor Scale played at tempo 100 in eighth notes
3. 2–3 minute prepared solo of your choice
Symphonic Orchestra Strings
1. 2-3 octave A Major Scale played at tempo 100 in sixteenth notes, choice on slur
